The Hotel Anglo American
is to be found in the historical center
of Florence nestled between the River
Arno and all of this famous Renaissance
city’s most popular tourist attractions.
Monuments like the Ponte Vecchio and
Uffizi Art Galleries
are only minutes walk away. Easily reachable

Anglo American is ideal for those guests
arriving in Florence by train from

From Autostrada A1 Autostrada del Sole:
From the A1 or “Sunny
Highway” is the main artery which
runs through the heart of Italy which
connects Florence with Bologna, Venice
and Milan in the North and Rome and
Naples in the south of Italy. If you
are on it then you should take the “Uscita”
or exit Firenze-Signa and follow signs
for Downtown Firenze until you reach
the Bridge of Ponte della Vittoria,
after this bridge go right and follow
via Lungarno Vespucci (lungarno means
along the Arno i.e. Florence’s
River) if you can’t see the river
then you ain’t on the right road!
Go straight ahead until the first set
of traffic lights then go left and then
left again - you should now be in the
historical center of Florence via Borgognissanti,
The Hotel Anglo American is at the end
of the street .
By Air
From Florence Vespucci Airport :
Not many Flights arrive here as Pisa
is the main Hub for Tuscany however,
should you be onle of the lucky ones
and arrive at Vespucci Airport then
you are laughing because the City Center
Hotel Anglo American is only 5km away.
From the airport take a taxi (10 minutes
depending on traffic) or take the airport
bus to Santa Maria Novella Train station.
The Anglo American Hotel is only 200
metres from the railway station.
Pisa International Airport :
Pisa is where Ryanair and Easyjet flights
arrive and is the main airport for Florence
due to the surrounding flat terrain
conversely, Florence is surrounded by
hills and beautiful rolling Tuscan countryside
consequently making it difficult to
build a large airport. Pisa airport
is well connected with Florence by both
bus and rail links therefore you should
have no problems reaching our downtown
hotel Firenze should you arrive at Pisa
airport. We suggest you either take
the Terravision shuttlebus or the train
from Pisa Central Station straight to
Florence Santa Maria Novella NB a train
also leaves from directly inside the
airport however, they are less frequent
consequently we suggest you take the
airport’s bus the short hop to
Pisa Train Station where you will have
a higher frequency of trains to Firenze
Santa Maria Novella - the Hotel
Anglo American is only 10 minutes waslk
from the station
Airports:
Florence Vespucci Airport is 5km
Pisa International Airport is 85 km
By Train or Foot
Almost all the major train services
connecting Milan and Rome with Florence
stop at Santa Maria Novella. The Anglo
American Hotel is only 200 metres from
the railway station therefore you can
easily walk it in less than 10 minutes.
Remember to take the right hand exit
when you leave the station (there should
be 2 flights of steps) go down the steps
and cross the pedestrian crossing. When
you reach the other side of the road
go left and follow the road round to
the right, walk right up via della Scala
and take the third left, go straight
ahead and you should come out at via
Curatone. If you prefere to take the
bus then you can take Bus D from Santa
Maria Railway Station again by exiting
using the right hand exit. A taxi from
the station should cost no more than
12 Euro but depends on the number of
bags you have and traffic.
